FLINT Associate Program: The objective of the FLINT associate program is to encourage close cooperation between the industrial, government, and academic communities and the FLINT. This collaboration includes a faster transfer and exchange of our research results, implementation of focused research on problems of interest to members, increased members' access to publications, researchers, and involvement in research and education through grants to support our activities at FLINT.

 

INDUSTRY-GOVERNMENT  PARTNERSHIP: International Companies and Government Agencies support research and technology transfer through a $50,000 annual subscription to the FLINT.  Non-profit organizations can join FLINT Associate Program through $25,000 annual subscription. In addition to an annual membership, companies may support the program through product, equipment, or technology donations.

The direct benefits and privileges of participation in the program include exclusive access to:

 

Ø       An expanding on-line research database (FLINT Internal and External Reports; Publications, Presentations, and Video and on-demand materials)

Ø       FLINT  multisponsor projects (costs shared by members).

Ø       FLINT Sole-sponsor projects

Ø       FLINT Instructional services and training

Ø       Office space for a professional resident; FLINT Visiting Fellow in the Department

Ø       Secretarial, telephone, and computer service for the Fellow. When the Fellow returns to her/his firm, s/he will have network or dial-up access to our systems to facilitate continued contact

Ø       Participation by the Fellow in FLINT seminars and colloquia and attendance in any class in the FLINT

Ø       Participation by the Fellow as a regular member of a BIISC research team or group; research programs of mutual interest are encouraged

Ø       Each FLINT Affiliate may request an annual private research review meeting at Berkeley or the Affiliate's location (travel expenses paid by the Affiliate), with a choice of topics selected from current research in the department

 

FLINT Strategic Program: FLINT Strategic Partners will pay +$125,000 per year for a committed three years membership. They join with FLINT Executives to constitute the FLINT Executive Committee and join with researchers to constitute the BIISC scientific committee that establishes FLINT missions, create new field of research or new application areas (related to the Computational Intelligence) and oversees the funding priorities.

 

FLINT Founding Executive Members: FLINT Founding Executive Members will pay +$ 250,000 per year for a committed five years membership. They join with FLINT Strategic Advisors to provide high level advice to the FLINT leadership on the strategic matters and to help to define long term Institute’s vision.  FLINT leadership will be in routine contact with strategic advisors.
